ABOUT US

Origem is an integrated energy and infrastructure company. It was born from the vision that (i) natural gas will play an important role in the development of the Brazilian energy matrix, and (ii) the infrastructure associated with it is essential for generating long-term value. Currently, the company is authorized to operate 14 concessions for mature oil and natural gas fields, of which 13 are located onshore and 1 offshore, in the states of Alagoas, Bahia, Espírito Santo, and Rio Grande do Norte, as well as 18 exploratory blocks located in the Sergipe-Alagoas and Tucano Sul Basins. Of the total proven and probable reserves of the Company, approximately 79% consist of natural gas, while the remaining 21% are related to oil.

The company’s operations are mainly developed from the Alagoas (5 concessions) and Tucano Sul (4 concessions) centers. Currently, Origem Energia holds 300 km of pipeline infrastructure, a natural gas processing unit (UPGN), seven oil and natural gas production and collection stations, as well as two thermoelectric projects with a combined capacity of 280 MW, ready to participate in power capacity reserve bidding processes. In 2023, the company was awarded the contract to operate the Maceió Waterway Terminal (TAMAC), in Maceió, through which its oil production is transported.
